Datafolha research shows that 2% of voters still vote for Jair Bolsonaro

Three weeks before the first round of elections, 2% of voters still say they are voting for former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), who is imprisoned and ineligible, according to a Datafolha survey released on Friday (11).

The survey interviewed around 2,000 voters over the age of 16 in 125 cities between Tuesday (8) and Thursday (10). In the spontaneous survey, in which the names of the candidates are not presented, 2% of voters responded to vote for the former president.

Jair Bolsonaro's percentage is equal to that of Renan Santos (Missão) and greater than that of former governor of Goiás Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), remembered by 1% of voters. Former governor of Minas Gerais Romeu Zema (Novo) was not mentioned.

President Lula (PT) was cited by 33% of voters (compared to 31% in the previous round), and senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), by 25% (compared to 22% in the previous survey). Writer Augusto Cury (Avante) appeared with 3% of voting intentions (previously, with 5%).

The percentage of voters who say they vote for Jair Bolsonaro in the spontaneous survey has fluctuated between 2% and 3% since March. The number reached 17% in July last year — when the former president had already been declared ineligible by the TSE (Superior Electoral Court).
