Planalto mobilizes social movements for the 7th of September

The Palácio do Planalto is coordinating a mobilization for social movements and supporters of President Lula to attend the event on September 7th, at the Esplanada dos Ministérios.

Even though it is an official event, the Lula government wants to use it as a show of force on the same day that opponent Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) intends to rally supporters against the president and, now, against the STF (Supreme Federal Court) minister Alexandre de Moraes.

To avoid problems with the Electoral Court, Planalto is taking care. In the invitation to militancy, he has reinforced that it is prohibited to carry out any type of political propaganda.

The act of September 7, 2022 was one of the reasons that led Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to be considered ineligible by the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), after accusations of abuse of power and campaigning with public money.

The government's idea is to fill the stands, which were empty last year. Servers scheduled for the event were even instructed to wear the Brazil shirt or clothes in the colors of the flag,

In an electoral context, the government made it clear, however, that it is prohibited to use stickers, little words or holy cards and to bring flags, for example.
