Military Police seize drugs, weapons and uniforms in anti-trafficking operation in Boa Vista

The arrests took place in the Senador Hélio Campos and Santa Luzia neighborhoods, in Boa Vista. Part of the seized material would supply mining areas, according to a report from one of the targets of the operation.

The corporation suspects that the volume and type of material seized indicate the activity of an organized criminal group. The following were seized:

The action began after complaints from residents, who reported a strong smell of drugs and suspicious movement in a house in the region. When the team arrived at the address, an 18-year-old boy ran into the property and managed to escape.

A 23-year-old construction worker also tried to escape by jumping over walls, but was caught by residents on the back street. He abandoned a backpack with a skunk tablet and a precision scale. The young man confessed that he would sell the drug and indicated the address where he got the material.

The team then went to the second target, in the Santa Luzia neighborhood, where they were received by a 34-year-old day laborer. In the house, the rest of the arsenal, drugs and uniforms were spread across different rooms, stored in boxes, under the bed and even in the toothbrush holder in the bathroom.

The arrested woman told police that the materials belonged to her husband, a 31-year-old construction worker who was not at the scene. She confessed that she helped him with the sale and revealed that part of the material was destined for mining.

The case was registered at the Central Civil Police Station. The two prisoners must answer for drug trafficking, disobedience and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
