Despite the predominance of dry weather this Monday (28), there is a possibility of light and isolated rain in municipalities in the south and east of the state. These precipitations must occur due to warming throughout the day and the entry of moisture into the lower layers of the atmosphere.
Another highlight is the increase in wind intensity. The formation of a low pressure area between Paraguay and northern Argentina strengthens air circulation over Mato Grosso do Sul. In practice, this means more frequent and stronger gusts, which can vary between 40 km/h and 50 km/h in the center-west and south of the state, reaching 70 km/h in the west region.

The day will still be marked by high temperatures, but the increase in cloudiness over the hours favors the occurrence of rain in several regions. Between the afternoon and evening, the forecast indicates moderate to heavy rain in the south, southwest, west, central, southeast and east of the state, with the possibility of thunderstorms mainly in the southernmost cities.
The scenario is favored by the contrast between the very warm air mass that acts over the state and the colder air associated with the cold front. This meeting of air masses with different temperatures increases atmospheric instability and favors the formation of heavy clouds, capable of producing intense rain, lightning and strong winds.
In the Capital, it may rain separately in the morning. Between the afternoon and evening, the forecast indicates an increase in instability, with the possibility of moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms. The minimum will be 26°C and the maximum could reach 36°C before the most significant change in the weather.
On Wednesday (30), the cold front advances through the interior of the continent and keeps the weather unstable in Mato Grosso do Sul. An area of low pressure also contributes to the formation and maintenance of rain clouds.
The forecast points to moderate to heavy rain, especially between the afternoon and evening, with a risk of storms in the western and southern regions of the state.
With the passage of the cold front, a milder air mass begins to advance over part of the southern territory of Mato Grosso. The result will be a more pronounced drop in temperatures in the west and central-south. In the north and northeast regions, the heat is still expected to persist, maintaining significant differences between municipalities.
In Campo Grande, there is a possibility of rain during the morning. The weather may show periods of improvement in the morning, but new areas of instability will form again throughout the day. The predicted maximum is 30°C, lower than that recorded at the beginning of the week.
