Ekstraklasa financial report: Legia and Lech are revenue leaders

The report prepared in cooperation with Ekstraklasa S.A., a company conducting top-class competitions, and clubs, includes revenues from media and marketing rights, match day revenues (ticket sales, catering), commercial revenues (e.g. sales of club gadgets) and transfers.

Legia Warszawa became the richest again - PLN 290.5 million. The national champion, Lech Poznań, was second in financial terms - PLN 248.4 million, but won in the calculations that did not take into account transfers (PLN 233.2 million compared to Legia's PLN 202.1 million).

The number of fans watching Premier League matches has also increased. A total of 4.15 million people attended the stadiums (a year earlier, when the record was broken - 3.9 million), an average of 13,577 per match. Lech Poznań again boasts the highest average attendance - 31,065 viewers per match.

"The results presented in the report confirm the consistent, multi-dimensional development of the league and clubs (...). Sports and business development, which is reflected in the equal level of the league and Poland's promotion to 12th place in the UEFA ranking, means that more and more people choose Ekstraklasa matches as a form of spending their free time from thousands of competitive offers," summarized the president of the company managing the competition, Marcin Animucki, in the introduction to the report.
