Ricina in Campobasso, Gianni Di Vita taken to the police station after searches

Gianni Di Vita, father and husband of the two women who died last December from ricin poisoning, was taken to the police station. The accountant boarded the car of the Flying Squad officers at the end of the second search this morning, carried out in the other office owned by Di Vita in via D'Amato in Campobasso. In this case the agents remained inside the office for a long time. They went out at 10.45 and Gianni Di Vita also went with them in the car, who, at the moment, is not registered in the register of suspects in the Larino Prosecutor's Office file for double murder.

In Pietracatella in the morning a search was carried out in the study of Gianni di Vita, the father and husband of the two women who died poisoned by ricin last December.

The agents of the Campobasso flying squad, led by Marco Graziano, entered Di Vita's studio which is located right in front of the house where, in the days close to last Christmas, his daughter Sara and his wife Antonella Di Ielsi died of poisoning. At the moment there are no suspects in the double murder file of the Larino prosecutor's office.

The policemen left around 9am. It is not clear whether they seized material or whether they instead carried out other targeted activities.

Other searches, in addition to the one carried out this morning in Pietracatella's office, would have been ordered following a series of new developments that emerged in the investigation. The accountant himself was also present during the search in Di Vita's office, which is located right in front of the family home. The former mayor of the Molise town arrived and left with the agents. The office, unlike the family home, is not under seizure.
