New Achievements and Goals from ROKETSAN in the Defense Industry

ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkin told the AA reporter in Aksaray, where he came to participate in the Rocket Competition organized by ROKETSAN within the scope of TEKNOFEST, that the number of both applications and competitors in the organization is increasing every year.

Stating that he finds it important to bring ROKETSAN's experienced engineers and students together, İkik said, "We are trying to improve the knowledge and experience of the students in terms of rocketry and missile science here. This place has reached a point where it represents the best organized rocket and missile competitions in the world with the highest number of participants. Hopefully, we plan to continue this by increasing it in the future." he said.

"UAV-300 successfully hit a target over 250 kilometers"

Second, emphasizing that ROKETSAN continues to produce services for the defense industry while developing projects for future generations, evaluated the fact that the Bayraktar AKINCI Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TİHA) hit the target accurately in the firing test carried out with the UHA-300 supersonic ballistic missile developed by ROKETSAN.

Stating that this is an important success, İkik said:

"With this shot, the UAV-300 successfully hit a target over 250 kilometers. The importance of the UHA-300 for us is that it is an air-to-ground supersonic ballistic missile that allows both our UAVs and warplanes to engage targets at much longer distances. We want to expand this family. Our '122, 230' missiles are achieving very successful results in the inventory. Currently, we have actually increased it a little further with the UAV-300. "Our UAVs can engage over 300 kilometers and our warplanes can engage over 500 kilometers. We are trying to further expand and enlarge this area. We believe that this area will provide a serious advantage for our UCAVs and warplanes to gain strike superiority."

"Mass production of TAYFUN Block-4 will begin after the tests"

Indicating that the tests of TAYFUN Block-4, a hypersonic ballistic missile designed to strengthen Türkiye's defense capability on a regional and global scale, are continuing, İkik said:

"All work on TAYFUN Block-4 continues according to plan. Hopefully, we will bring it to a point where it will be included in the inventory in a very short time. Its tests are continuing. Hopefully, after those tests, mass production will start very soon."

Success of UAV-300

Within the scope of the test activity, the Bayraktar AKINCI Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TİHA), which took off from the Çorlu Flight Training and Test Center in Tekirdağ on September 11, was transferred to the test area on the Black Sea, and in the test carried out off the coast of Sinop, the target on the sea was hit with full accuracy with the İHA-300 ammunition developed by ROKETSAN, fired from the Bayraktar AKINCI.

Previously, the integration of İHA-122 and İHA-230 supersonic missiles into Bayraktar AKINCI was successfully completed.
