Saint-Pierre-des-Corps: the police officer involved in the collision with a biker is an elected RN

While calm has returned to the Rabaterie district, in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, the investigation continues to shed light on the collision which involved a police car and a young biker during an urban rodeo last Saturday. The police officer who drove the vehicle is an elected official from the National Rally and was placed on sick leave, corroborating sources indicate to Le Figaro, confirming the information from La Nouvelle République.

During the night from Saturday to Sunday, clashes involving “several dozen young people” broke out after a motorcyclist was injured in the leg in a collision with a police vehicle in this Republican reconquest district. The police intervened to put an end to an urban rodeo involving two scooters. One of them refused to comply and then was hit by a police vehicle before falling to the ground.

The motorcyclist, aged 20, was hospitalized but his life is not in danger. The official who drove the car was placed under the status of assisted witness as part of a judicial investigation opened for intentional injury. An assisted witness is a person against whom evidence weighs which makes his participation in an offense likely. However, these clues are not sufficient for an indictment.

Aged 36, the agent is a municipal elected official labeled RN. He was elected during the last municipal elections on a list for the commune of Coussay-les-Bois, near Châtellerault, in Vienne. Since the events, he has been on sick leave, a police source tells us, “traumatized by the facts but also by his legal treatment with his placement in police custody”, we continue.
