Access to 417 websites was blocked through virtual patrol and open source research activities

According to the information received, virtual patrol and open source research activities were carried out on the internet between 21-27 September.

In this context, 760 social media accounts and URL addresses were examined. 341 websites that were determined to allow illegal betting, 6 websites that committed fraud through phishing, and 70 websites that shared obscene content were reported to the Information Technologies and Communication Authority and their access was blocked.

In addition, within the scope of efforts to shed light on the unknown cyber incidents that occurred this year, the aggravated fraud incident in Çankaya district was clarified under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Legal proceedings were initiated against the suspect who was found to have committed the unsolved incident in question.
