Martyr police officer Sarıyalçınkaya was sent off to his last journey in Giresun

The body of 38-year-old Sarıyalçınkaya, who was martyred yesterday at Yüksek İhtisas Hospital, was brought to Şebinkarahisar district of Giresun after the ceremony in Kırıkkale.

A ceremony was held for Sarıyalçınkaya, who is married and the father of two children, at the Merkez Tekışık Mosque.

In addition to the family and relatives of the martyr, Governor Mustafa Koç, AK Party Giresun Deputy Nazım Elmas, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Çelik, Provincial Police Chief Ferhat Akbaş, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Nihat Özkök, Coast Guard Station Commander First Lieutenant Çağrı Çanakçı, Şebinkarahisar Mayor Ömer Şentürk, institution managers and citizens attended the ceremony.

Sarıyalçınkaya's body was buried in the family cemetery in Avutmuş District after the funeral prayer at noon.

Sarıyalçınkaya, who was responding to a traffic accident in which one person lost his life in Kırıkkale's Bahşılı district, was hit by a car with plate number 71 AAP 190 driven by Ö.F.Ü. The seriously injured police officer died despite the intervention at Yüksek İhtisas Hospital, where he was taken by medical teams.
