The Turkish Grand National Assembly starts the new legislative year on October 1: Red Crescent, Reservation and the 13th Judicial Package are on the agenda

The Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) starts the new legislative year on October 1.

Following the opening ceremony where AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will address the General Assembly, the agenda of the Parliament includes the Red Crescent regulation, the proposal that will pave the way for Booking to operate again, the 13th Judicial Package and new commission studies.

ERDOĞAN WILL SPEAK

The legislative recess of the Turkish Grand National Assembly is ending. The 28th Term, 5th Legislative Year will start with a special session to be held on Thursday, October 1, at 14.00. Erdogan will address the General Assembly at the opening of the new legislative year.

Following the opening program, a reception will be held in the Parliament, hosted by the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş.

A NEW COMMISSION WILL BE ESTABLISHED IN THE ASSEMBLY

With the start of the new legislative year, studies on the solution process will also be on the agenda of the Parliament. It is planned to establish a monitoring commission within the Turkish Grand National Assembly in order to monitor the work carried out regarding the process.

The commission is expected to monitor the work carried out within the scope of the process and bring the developments to the Parliament's agenda.

THE RED CRESCENT REGULATION IS IN THE FIRST PLACE

It is expected that one of the first regulations on the agenda of the General Assembly will be the Turkish Red Crescent Bill, which was submitted to the Parliament in the last legislative year but could not be discussed due to the busy agenda.

The proposal, which consists of nine articles, includes regulations regarding the rights and exemptions of the Turkish Red Crescent, as well as its duties and powers.

LEGAL REGULATION FOR BOOKING

Another regulation expected to come to the agenda of the parliament will be regarding the digital accommodation platform Booking, which has been blocked from access in Turkey for approximately nine years.

With the legal regulation to be prepared, it is aimed to pave the way for Booking to operate again in Turkey.

13TH JUDICIAL PACKAGE TO BE AT THE ASSEMBLY IN OCTOBER

One of the busy agenda items of the Parliament in October will be the 13th Judicial Package.

It is expected that the package will also include new regulations for social media platforms. In this context, it is stated that a regulation that requires logging into social media accounts with credentials will also be included in the package.

In the new legislative year, in addition to the regulations in question, the work of the Parliamentary committees and the new legislative proposals that will come to the agenda will be decisive in the work of the General Assembly.
