In the competition where teams from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan participated, with the aim of strengthening energy cooperation between TDT member countries and building professional bridges between energy experts, young electricians exhibited their professional knowledge and skills in practical stages.
APPLIED STUDY ON POST TYPE DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMER
In the competition held at TEDAŞ Ankara Training and Certification Center Operations Directorate with the slogan "Common Mind and Excellence in Sister Networks", an application was carried out to replace the faulty fuse on the high voltage side of the pole type distribution transformer, which is one of the critical operations in the field.
The teams took environmental safety precautions and completed the replacement of the faulty fuse after local grounding operations with low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage maneuvers.
In the evaluation made by the referee committee, which included representatives of all countries participating in the competition, compliance with occupational health and safety rules, selection and use of correct equipment, fault detection and response skills, and team coordination were taken into account.
SARIGÜL: "YOU REPRESENT THE FUTURE OF THE TURKISH WORLD IN THE FIELD OF ENERGY"
Speaking at the opening program of the competition, TEDAŞ General Manager Suat Sarıgül stated that the event is a part of the goal of carrying the cooperation in the field of energy into the future by gaining strength from common history, culture and brotherhood ties.
Pointing out that energy is one of the basic elements of the development and sustainable future of countries, Sarıgül stated that behind a strong and reliable energy infrastructure, there are qualified human resources working in the field with their knowledge, experience and effort.
Stating that the competition is an important meeting where young electricians demonstrate their technical knowledge and skills, as well as strengthening the sharing of knowledge and experience, professional solidarity and brotherhood ties between countries, Sarıgül emphasized that in addition to technical competence in the electricity distribution sector, occupational health and safety culture is also of great importance.
Sarıgül noted that the competition is not only a professional competition environment, but also a platform that allows young people from different countries to share their knowledge and experiences around the same field practices.
Expressing his satisfaction in hosting the competition, Sarıgül said, addressing the young electricians, "Today, you represent not only your countries and institutions, but also the future of the Turkish world in the field of energy." he said.
Stating that he believes that the cooperation in the energy field of the Turkish world will be further strengthened with the knowledge, effort and excitement of young people, Sarıgül stated that the most valuable gain of the competition is not only the degrees and medals, but also the information that the participants will learn from each other, the experiences they will share and the friendships they will establish are of great importance.
AWARDS WERE GIVEN IN FIVE CATEGORIES
At the end of the event, awards were given in five categories, taking into account the teams' technical competence, occupational safety, coordination, field experience and practical solution generation skills.
In this context, Uzbekistan was deemed worthy of the "Most Careful Expert Team" award, Kyrgyzstan was deemed worthy of the "Most Coordinated Expert Team" award, Turkey was deemed worthy of the "Most Experienced Expert Team" award, Azerbaijan was deemed worthy of the "Most Practical Expert Team" award, and Kazakhstan was deemed worthy of the "Most Successful Expert Team" award.
NEXT YEAR KAZAKHSTAN WILL HOST
Within the scope of the event, the handover ceremony for the TDT term presidency to pass to Kazakhstan in the coming period was also held.
Kazakhstan will host the Professional Mastery Competition to be held next year. Under Kazakhstan's term presidency, it is aimed to further develop energy cooperation and knowledge and experience sharing between TDT member countries.
The event, which brought together young electricians working in the electricity distribution sector from TDT member countries, ended with a family photo taken after the awards were presented.
