Protest from TKP regarding pensions

Yesterday, during the press statement made in front of the Constitutional Court regarding the retirees' mobile raise demands, retired police officer Ali Şekeroğlu committed suicide. For this reason, the Communist Party of Türkiye (TKP) organized a press release titled "We will destroy the reign of money for our bread and honor" in Ankara Kızılay Sakarya Street.

Esat Retirement Solidarity Network also participated in the statement. Party members and retirees who participated in the action chanted the slogan "We are workers, not redundant people." A retiree made a statement here.

The retiree said, "The government, which says that the resources are insufficient to improve pensions, has no shortage of resources to transfer 2.7 trillion annual incentives to the bosses. They want us to die as soon as possible, but we are the ones who created this wealth for this country. We have worked and produced value for years. We deserve an honorable life."
