Turin: dismissal proposal for young man hit by tear gas during Pro Palestina demonstration

The case of a young man hit by a "straight-thrown" tear gas canister, as his lawyer states, while peacefully taking part in a Pro Pal demonstration in the Piedmontese capital, was discussed today at the Turin Palace of Justice. The prosecutor's office proposed closing the case while the lawyer called for new investigations to identify those responsible.

The episode occurred on October 3, 2025 and is documented by video. The young man was in a group of demonstrators who, according to what was reconstructed by the investigators themselves, was not committing violent gestures. Immediately behind them other demonstrators were throwing objects towards the police.

The young man hit by the tear gas collapsed to the ground (the prognosis was more than twenty days) and immediately afterwards a charge was fired which hit two companions, one of whom was trying to help him: they too filed a complaint.

The dismissal was proposed because the investigations did not lead to the identification of the agents.
