Three victims of the accident on BR-146 in Guaxupé are buried in Monte Belo

The bodies of the three victims of the accident on BR-146 will be buried this Sunday (6), in Monte Belo (MG). They were in a car that crashed into a truck this Saturday afternoon (5) in Guaxupé (MG).

The victims were identified as:

Marilda Aparecida Teixeira, 67 years old, known as Tota Professora;

Maria Antônia dos Reis Arruda, 86 years old.

Gabriel Abrão Arruda, 4 years old;

The farewell takes place at the Monte Belo Municipal Funeral Home. The burial of Marilda, the Tota Teacher, which was scheduled for 10 am, was postponed until 1 pm. The bodies of Maria Antônia and Gabriel will be buried at 4pm, in the Monte Belo Cemetery.

Gabriel was a student at CMEI Hortência Bonelli Bueno, who published a note of condolence over the child's death.

“Even though he was so small, his presence brightened the days of everyone around him with sweetness and joy,” said the school in the tribute. The institution also expressed solidarity with the family and the entire school community.

Victims had gone to lunch in Guaxupé

According to information provided to EPTV, affiliate TV Globo, the victims had gone to Guaxupé for lunch and were returning to Monte Belo when the accident occurred.

The crash occurred at km 509 of BR-146. According to the Military Highway Police, the truck was heading from Guaxupé to São Pedro da União when the car, which was carrying four people, went the wrong way and collided crosswise against the truck.

In addition to the three victims who died at the scene, a 39-year-old woman who was in the car was injured. She was rescued and taken to medical care. His health status has not yet been released.

The truck driver had no apparent injuries, but was also taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.

Investigation

The Civil Police reported that forensic experts were at the scene and collected traces that could help in determining the circumstances of the accident.

The bodies were sent to the Guaxupé Medical-Legal Post for the usual examinations. So far, there have been no people taken to the police station.

The causes of the accident are still being investigated.
