While the normal rainfall decreased by up to 20 percent in Tekirdağ, Kırklareli, Bursa, Yalova, Eskişehir, Kastamonu, Çankırı, Malatya, Bayburt, Trabzon, Rize, Artvin and Erzurum, it increased by over 80 percent in Siirt, Şırnak and Van.

While there was an average of 111.8 days of rainfall across Türkiye, the normal number of rainy days covering the period 1991-2020 was recorded as 95.8 days. Thus, the number of rainy days was 17 percent above normal.

The highest rainfall level of the last 66 years was measured in Adana, Düzce, Hatay, Isparta, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Niğde, Ordu, Osmaniye, Tokat, Yozgat, Manisa and Giresun.

The highest rainfall level was reached in Bingöl, Bitlis, Erzincan, Sivas and Tunceli in the last 38 years, in Van in the last 32 years and in Gaziantep in the last 30 years.

In the Marmara Region, water year precipitation was recorded as 676.6 kilograms per square meter, normal was 628.3 kilograms, and 2025 water year precipitation was recorded as 425.1 kilograms. There was an 8 percent increase in precipitation compared to normal and a 59 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

743.6 kilograms of precipitation per square meter fell in the Aegean Region. The normal rainfall for the region was 584.4 kilograms, and the rainfall in the same period last year was 422.6 kilograms. Precipitation was 27 percent above normal and 76 percent above last year.

While 939.3 kilograms of precipitation per square meter fell in the Mediterranean Region, the normal for the region was 647.1 kilograms, while the precipitation in the same period last year was recorded as 449.2 kilograms. Precipitation increased by 45 percent compared to normal and more than 100 percent compared to last year.

In the Central Anatolia Region, water year precipitation was 489.4 kilograms per square meter, normal was 385.6 kilograms, and last year's precipitation in the same period was 247.3 kilograms. There was a 27 percent increase in precipitation compared to normal and a 98 percent increase compared to last year.

While 752.8 kilograms of precipitation per square meter fell in the Black Sea Region, the normal was 642.2 kilograms, while the precipitation in the same period last year was 601.4 kilograms. Precipitation was 17 percent above normal and 25 percent above last year.

In the Eastern Anatolia Region, water year precipitation was recorded as 698.7 kilograms per square meter, normal was 520.7 kilograms, and last year's precipitation in the same period was 392.8 kilograms. There was a 34 percent increase in precipitation compared to normal and a 78 percent increase compared to last year.

In the Southeastern Anatolia Region, 771.4 kilograms of precipitation per square meter fell. The normal rainfall for the region was 527 kilograms, and the rainfall in the same period last year was 248.4 kilograms. Precipitation increased by 46 percent compared to normal and more than 100 percent compared to the same period last year.
