TV Gazeta confirms debate with ES government candidates on October 29

TV Gazeta will hold, next Tuesday (29), the first round debate with candidates for the government of Espírito Santo in the 2026 elections. The live program, which will air after the soap opera "Quem Ama Cuida", at around 10:15 pm, will also be broadcast on g1 and Globoplay.

Candidates Helder Salomão (PT), Lorenzo Pazolini (Republicans) and Ricardo Ferraço (MDB) are confirmed. The debate will have five blocks of questions asked from candidate to candidate, three blocks with a free topic and two with questions on specific topics, distributed as follows:

1st block: questions with a free theme;

2nd block: questions with a specific theme;

3rd block: questions with a free theme;

4th block: questions with a specific theme;

5th block: questions with a free theme and final considerations.

What will the debate be like?

The debate will be based on questions between the candidates and will be mediated by presenter Rafaela Marquezine, from the news program Gazeta Meio Dia. In total, there will be five blocks, and in the last block, there will also be the participants' final considerations.

In all blocks, each candidate must answer only once. The rules establish that the candidate drawn to be the first to ask in the block must necessarily be the last to answer — this way, everyone asks and everyone answers.

It was also defined that the candidate will not be able to direct his question to anyone who has already answered in the same block, nor to anyone who asked him the question immediately before.

Candidates' participation times will be the same in all blocks: the candidate will have 45 seconds to ask the question and the chosen one will have two minutes to answer. The person who asked will have one minute and 30 seconds to respond, and the candidate who responded will have the same time to reply.

In the fifth and final block, each candidate will have one minute and 30 seconds for final considerations, in an order also defined in a previous draw.

What if a candidate is absent?

In case of absence of any of the candidates, the place will remain empty with an identification plate.

During the first round of free topics, the candidates present, if they wish, can ask the question they would have asked the candidate who was absent. After asking the question, they must choose a candidate present and continue with the pre-established dynamic.

Position of candidates

The position of the candidates in the debate scenario was defined by draw and is organized according to the mediator's point of view, with the first being the one furthest to the left of the journalist. Candidates will ask and answer without leaving their places on the stage.

The rules were shared with representatives of each candidate and filed by the broadcaster with the Regional Electoral Court (TRE-ES).

First position: Lorenzo Pazolini (Republicans)

Second position: Ricardo Ferraço (MDB)

Third position: Helder Salomão (PT).
