The São Caetano do Sul monitoring system, Smart Sanca, identified the vehicle, a white Logan model, used in the criminals' escape. The first registration of the car in the city was on February 14th.
The lieutenant was killed with a shot to the head on the 27th, on Avenida Goiás, considered the city's main thoroughfare. The PM was in civilian clothes on a motorcycle, stopped at a traffic light, when two men approached and fired shots. Then the pair fled.
The investigation shows that criminals have monitored the police officer's routine since February and have already identified the suspect responsible for the shooting. He, however, was not located.

In total, the vehicle passed through the city 96 times at addresses linked to the lieutenant, such as the house and gym he attended. On Avenida Goiás alone, where the attack took place, the criminals passed 14 times.
According to system data, the car was first registered on February 14th and the last, before the crime, was on May 22nd. The day with the highest incidence of monitoring criminals was Saturdays.
The vehicle was found and seized on Tuesday night (30) in a parking lot in Guianases, in the East Zone of São Paulo, by the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP), responsible for investigating the case.
The lieutenant is the brother of Eloá Pimentel, murdered at the age of 15 by her ex-boyfriend Lindemberg Fernandes Alves, in October 2008.
Since the attack, he has remained hospitalized at the Mário Covas State Hospital, in Santo André, Greater São Paulo, where he underwent head surgery.
The investigation also identified that the motorcycle used by the shooters had been stolen in March, in Cidade Dutra, in the South Zone of the capital of São Paulo. Before the attack, according to the police, the criminals installed a cloned license plate of São João de Meriti, in Rio de Janeiro, on the motorcycle.
Over the weekend, two suspects were arrested in Guaianases for providing cover and logistical support in the crime. One of them confessed to participating in the attack.
According to the latest medical bulletin released by Rota, the lieutenant remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hospital Mário Covas and "presented a satisfactory response to the measures adopted by the medical team."
Among the positive developments are the reduction in the need for medication to support blood pressure and the good response to neurological treatment.
"The officer remains fever-free and his other organs are functioning properly. The medical team will continue to reduce sedation and perform a new CT scan this Wednesday (1st)," the official statement said.
According to Rota, the lieutenant shows signs of improvement and should undergo further examinations on Wednesday (1st).
On Tuesday (30), the family reported that he showed a positive neurological response, recovering from head surgery carried out shortly after the attack.
According to the bulletin, the officer remains hemodynamically stable, with medication support to ensure adequate cerebral irrigation. He remains sedated, under continuous neurological monitoring, and receives tube feeding.
According to the medical team, the tests carried out throughout the day showed a picture compatible with the severity of the case, with the usual clinical adjustments for patients in this condition. The other systems of the body function properly.
Doctors say the evolution is slow, but as expected for the severity of the trauma, with no complications considered worrying so far. The case continues to be monitored continuously, with daily reassessments together with the Neurosurgery team.
In a statement published on social media on Sunday (28), the family reported that Ronickson presented a "positive neurological response" and satisfactory clinical evolution, despite the severity of the condition.
