A mass of warm air will enter this Monday through the southwest and the western half of the Peninsula, which will cause temperatures even higher than 35 ºC despite being on the verge of autumn, which begins next Wednesday, September 23. Thus begins the popularly known as San Miguel summer – whose holiday is on September 29 – which will last at least until Friday and will be accompanied by atmospheric stability, slightly cloudy or clear skies and high temperatures, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
Although there will be little cloud cover, intervals of low morning clouds are expected in regions of Galicia, the Cantabrian area, the upper Ebro, the Balearic Islands, the southern Mediterranean and the west of Alborán, with a low probability of some drizzle in Melilla and in the Strait area, generally tending to clear. In the Canary Islands there will be cloudy intervals in the north of the mountainous islands and slightly cloudy or clear skies in the rest.
Likewise, morning fog banks will be probable in the north of Galicia, the Cantabrian area, the upper Ebro and the Balearic Islands, as well as isolated points in the Mediterranean pre-coastal area. The presence of haze at altitude in the Canary Islands is also possible.
For its part, maximum temperatures will increase in the northern half of the peninsula, especially in the northeast and northwest, as well as in the archipelagos, with possible notable increases in the midlands and high areas of the Canary Islands. In the rest there will be few changes. It is likely that temperatures will exceed 35ºC in the depressions of the southwest of the peninsula, parts of Galicia and low areas of Catalonia.
The minimums will register few changes in general, with increases predominating in the northern half of the peninsula and the Canary Islands and decreases in the southeast. Tropical nights - above 20 ºC - are expected in parts of the southern Mediterranean coast and the lower Guadalquivir.
As for the wind, it will blow moderately east in Alborán, with strong intervals and probable very strong gusts in the Strait, tending to subside. Moderate winds are also expected from the east in the Cantabrian Sea and from the north and northeast in the Canary Islands and the coasts of the southeast and Galicia, where some strong intervals may be recorded.
In the rest, light winds from the north and east will predominate, with moderate intervals of north winds in the Ampurdán and north of the Balearic Islands and a gale of wind in the Ebro.

- GALICIA: slightly cloudy or clear except for low cloudiness in the early and late hours in inland areas of Lugo and around Mondoñedo, with the possibility of occasional mists and fog and high clouds at the end of the day; temperatures slightly rising, more pronounced in the highest mountain ranges in the north and center of Lugo; Variable light wind in the interior, from the north on the western coast and from the east in the Cantabrian Sea, more intense from Estaca de Bares to Finisterre.
- ASTURIAS: slightly cloudy in the southern half and cloudy in the north with low clouds and probability of mists throughout the community that will evolve into high clouds; rising temperatures; East wind, moderate on the coast and weak in the interior, with variable intervals.
- CANTABRIA: intervals of high clouds but clear in the afternoon; temperatures slightly rising; and east wind, moderate on the coast and weak in the interior, with variable intervals.
- BASQUE COUNTRY: intervals of high clouds, but clear in the afternoon; rising minimums; variable light wind, from the north in central hours.
- CASTILLA Y LEÓN: slightly cloudy or with high clouds, with some low cloud in the extreme northeast in the early hours; temperatures slightly rising, generalized to maximums; light variable or northeast wind.
- NAVARRE: cloudy intervals with high clouds in the early hours, but clear in the afternoon; light ascents in the Ribera; light wind from the north, moderate in the afternoon south of Tafalla.
- LA RIOJA: clear or with high clouds; maximums in slight ascent; with northwest wind in the valley, variable light in the mountains.
- ARAGÓN: high morning clouds, clear in the late afternoon; rising temperatures; with variable light wind, moderate from the northwest in the Ebro depression, from the north in the Iberian system and from the west in Huesca.
- CATALONIA: cloudy in the morning, very cloudy with high clouds in the afternoon; rising maximums, notable in points on the coast of Tarragona, the pre-coastal of Barcelona and Ampurdán, where they will be significantly high; moderate northwest wind in the early hours on the coast of Tarragona, later tending to the south; weak from the west in the interior, weak from the north in the Arán Valley and moderate in the Ampurdán in central hours.
- EXTREMADURA: clear or with high clouds; temperatures unchanged; variable light wind, from the east with some moderate intervals in central hours.
- COMMUNITY OF MADRID: clear that will tend to cloudy intervals of high clouds in the mountains and in the afternoon in the rest of the community; minimums in slight ascent in the mountains, maximums in ascent; and light wind from the north, variable from midday.
- CASTILLA-LA MANCHA: clear that will tend to slightly cloudy with high clouds from midday; minimums slightly rising in the Montes de Toledo and Sierra de Guadalajara, maximums increasing, lighter in the western half; and light wind from the east with moderate intervals starting at noon.
- VALENCIAN COMMUNITY: slightly cloudy with intervals of low clouds in points of the southern coast and widespread clouds during the day; minimums rising in the interior of Castellón, maximums rising; and variable light wind, from the south in the northern third and from the east in the rest at midday.
- REGION OF MURCIA: slightly cloudy or clear except in the Mar Menor, with intervals of low clouds without ruling out weak precipitation, but tending to slightly cloudy from midday; decreasing minimums; with variable light wind, from the east in the afternoon.

Light wind from the east, moderate on the eastern Mediterranean coast and province of Cádiz, with very strong gusts in the early hours, up to 80 kilometers per hour.
- CANARY ISLANDS: intervals of medium and high clouds in general, with cloudy intervals in low areas of the north and east in the first half of the day, with a low probability of light rains and chances of early morning hours east of La Palma; haze at altitude on eastern islands, less likely and lighter in Tenerife.
Minimums rising in high areas, maximums rising more significantly in the midlands, with values of 32 degrees on the southern and western slopes of Gran Canaria and in the south of the eastern islands; light or moderate wind from the northeast, with breezes on the coast during the first half of the day and moderate in the afternoon; In the central peaks of Tenerife, strong southwest wind with the probability of very strong gusts.
