Wout Van Aert wins the 13th stage of the Vuelta a Almunecar-Loja

Wout Van Aert (Visma-Lease a Bike) won the 13th stage of the Vuelta, the 192.8 kilometer Almunecar-Loja. The Belgian beat the Frenchman Valentin Paret Peintre in a two-man sprint, with whom he had separated himself from a small group of about ten riders who were protagonists of the day's breakaway near the finish line. Among them was the Italian Vincenzo Albanese, who came fifth at 24''.

The leader of the race, Enric Mas (Movistar), arrived within three minutes, maintaining his advantage over his closest pursuers in the standings, 1'45'' on Primoz Roglic and 2'06'' on Felix Gall.
