The number of detentions in the Yahşihan Municipality corruption investigation increased to 33

There has been a new development in the corruption investigation carried out by the Kırıkkale Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against Yahşihan Municipality. With the capture of 2 more suspects who could not be found at their addresses, the number of detainees increased to 33.

While a detention order was issued for 2 more people within the scope of the investigation, it was reported that efforts are continuing to capture 3 suspects who could not be found at their addresses.

Gendarmerie procedures for 33 people in custody continue.

FORMER PRESIDENTS FROM AKP AND MHP ARE ALSO IN CUSTODY

At the previous stage of the investigation, detention orders were issued for the deputy mayors, municipal council members, municipal employees and business people, including former Yahşihan Mayor Ahmet Sungur from AKP and former Yahşihan Mayor Osman Türkyılmaz from MHP. It was confirmed by different sources that Sungur and Türkyılmaz were detained.

31 people were detained in the first phase of the simultaneous operation organized in 4 provinces, centered in Kırıkkale.
