Bribery investigation against New Party Antalya Deputy Mustafa Erdem

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an ex officio investigation against New Party Antalya Deputy Mustafa Erdem for the crime of 'Bribery' in accordance with Article 252 of the Turkish Penal Code No. 5237.

WHO IS MUSTAFA ERDEM?

The CV of New Party Deputy Mustafa Erdem is shared on the Turkish Grand National Assembly website as follows:

Independent Accountant and Financial Advisor; He graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration.

He served in Antalya Chamber of Independent Accountants and Financial Advisors for 13 years, including 7 years as chamber president. He served as a Member of the Unfair Competition Board of the Union of Chambers of Independent Accountants and Certified Public Accountants of Türkiye (TÜRMOB) and Vice President of TÜRMOB/TESMER. He served as TÜRMOB/SÜRGEM Vice President between 2022-2023.

Between 1999 and 2004, he served as CHP Akseki Güçlüköy Town Mayor and Municipal Council Member. He served as Antalya CHP Provincial Treasurer between 2004 and 2005, and as CHP Antalya Provincial Election Committee Chairman between 2009 and 2019 Local Elections. He served as CHP Antalya Provincial Secretary in 2015 and Provincial Chairman in 2016.

He is a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Planning and Budget Commission.

Erdem, who speaks English at an intermediate level, is married and has two children.
