Creating a lifestyle-friendly forest on Yongmasan in Jungnang-gu, Seoul… Includes ecological restoration, smart farm, and gardening experience center

Jungnang-gu, Seoul (Chief Ryu Gyeong-gi) announced on the 3rd that it will restore damaged forests around Yongmasan Mountain and create a 'Yongmasan Living-Friendly Forest' where residents can enjoy nature and urban agriculture in their daily lives.

This forest is a green space that connects the damaged land restoration project of the Seoul Housing and Urban Development Corporation (SH Corporation) and the lifestyle-oriented park created by Jungnang-gu, and will be created with a total area of ​​16,972 m2.

The target site for SH Corporation's damaged land restoration project is 14,348㎡ in the Yongmasan Neighborhood Park area behind Seoildae, Myeongmok 3 and 8-dong. An ecological restoration forest, smart farm, and horticultural experience center are planned to be built.

We plan to introduce cutting-edge smart agricultural facilities to the smart farm to enable agricultural experience and education even in abnormal climates and seasonal changes. In the garden-type vegetable garden and horticulture experience center, you can engage in various urban agricultural activities, such as growing crops.

The district completed a project to create a lifestyle-friendly park on 2,624 m2 in the adjacent San 16-15 area of ​​Myeonmok-dong.

District Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi said, “We will allow residents to enjoy a variety of experiences and activities by taking advantage of the characteristics of each space, such as an ecological restoration forest, smart farm, garden-type vegetable garden, and horticultural experience center.”
