SIRIUS, September 24 - RIA Novosti. The microelectronics industry in Russia faces serious challenges, including the need to strengthen positions where there are already advantages, said Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“The industry faces serious challenges today. The President especially emphasized the need to increase measures to create a domestic technological platform in the field of microelectronics. It is important to strengthen those positions where we already have advantages, to closely integrate the work of scientists with companies, with the real production sector,” Mishustin said in a video message to participants of the Microelectronics 2026 forum.

He noted that for this, the government has revised approaches to managing the sector in order to consolidate efforts and resources for a balanced growth of competencies in this knowledge-intensive field. Special attention is paid to ensuring that promising developments move faster all the way - from the laboratory to serial production.
