New Taipei Gongliao and American Little "Bravely Crossing Longdong Bay" graduates receive diving certificates

Gongliao District, New Taipei City, and American Elementary School held the "Bravely Crossing Longdong Bay" graduation ceremony today (16th). This year, Hemei Elementary School has three elementary school graduates and two affiliated kindergarten graduates. Accompanied by professional coaches and safety guards, the graduates first kayaked across Longdong Bay, then dived into the sea to receive their graduation certificates, and finally were awarded the "Little Warrior" trophy.

When invited to attend, former Minister of Education Pan Wenzhong said that the government promotes marine education and the United States is a model for implementing marine education.

Urged by the sound of the siren, Lin Yanping, the principal of He American Elementary School, led the graduates to paddle a canoe across Longdong Bay, capsize the boat to rescue themselves, turn over and dive into the sea to receive their graduation certificates, and finally receive the "Little Warrior Trophy" on the boat, which symbolizes courage and growth. This marked the most unforgettable page of their childhood learning journey and also brought an end to their learning journey at He American Elementary School.

Lin Yanping said that in order for the children to complete the challenge safely, teachers and students practiced for several months under the guidance of professional coaches at Longdong Bay Ocean Park to accumulate marine sports abilities. We hope that graduates will use this courage and enthusiasm to meet every challenge and goal in life.

A graduate surnamed Cai said that during his six-year study in an American elementary school, he participated in snorkeling, canoeing, rock climbing, light boat training and other courses. He was grateful for the guidance of teachers and coaches, allowing him to have different learning experiences, which are memories he will remember for a lifetime.

Pan Wenzhong said that seeing the graduates using the skills they learned in school and crossing Longdong Bay very determinedly and bravely, including diving to get their own diplomas, verified the practice of Son of the Ocean education in the United States, and the United States is also a model for implementing marine education. In addition, he saw the entire community investing in supporting the unique Ocean Graduation Ceremony, which impressed him so much that he will never forget it.
