2026 Cultural China·Nishan World Overseas Chinese Forum was held in Qufu, Shandong and the "Initiative" was released

The "Mutual Learning of Civilizations and the Power of Nishan - Action Initiative for Overseas Chinese in Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind" (hereinafter referred to as the "Initiative") was released on the 29th.

On the same day, the 2026 Cultural China Nishan World Overseas Chinese Forum was held in Qufu, Shandong Province with the theme of "Mutual Learning of Civilizations, Co-construction of Order, and Co-preservation of Justice—The Mission of the Overseas Chinese". More than 40 overseas Chinese businessmen and leaders, experts and scholars, Chinese media and representatives of the new generation of Chinese from 21 countries and regions had in-depth dialogues on topics such as "Overseas Chinese and Global Open Cooperation", contributing "overseas wisdom" and "overseas power" to the promotion of global civilization exchanges.

The "Initiative" proposes that overseas Chinese should be well-connected through culture and serve as envoys for mutual learning among civilizations. Consciously implement the Global Civilization Initiative, abide by the core concepts of equality among civilizations and tolerance of diversity, inherit the Eastern wisdom of "harmony in diversity, and common beauty", and promote two-way development, in-depth mutual learning, inclusive symbiosis between Chinese civilization and the civilizations of other nations around the world, learn from each other through exchanges and collisions, nourish each other, and promote prosperity together.

The "Initiative" proposes that overseas Chinese promote governance through cooperation and be builders of an open order. We should give full play to the unique advantages of overseas Chinese connecting five continents and rich resources, deeply participate in global governance, widely expand international non-governmental cooperation, practice the global governance concept of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, promote an equal and orderly world multi-polarization, universal and inclusive economic globalization, use the wisdom of the overseas Chinese community to help international rules become more fair and reasonable, and use friendly people-to-people exchanges to solidify the foundation of an open and inclusive international order.

The "Initiative" proposes that overseas Chinese should uphold justice and uphold justice and be defenders of justice and peace. We must persist in eliminating barriers through dialogue and consultation, eliminate prejudice with facts and truth, speak out proactively based on our country, firmly defend international fairness and justice, promote mutual understanding among people of all countries, and gather great strength to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
