With the theme of "Scarlet Feast: The Global History of Wine", this event attracted about 200 practitioners and reader representatives from Chinese and Western culture, publishing, education, media fields.
A glass of wine flows with the memory of the customs of Europe, connecting the long history of ancient trade and civilization; a good book carries thoughts across national boundaries and builds a bridge between the hearts of the East and the West.
Guo Shuobo, author of "Scarlet Feast: The Global History of Wine" and professor at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, said that to carry out civilized dialogue, we must first identify the common topics of both parties, and wine is an excellent carrier. Wine is not unique to Europe. China also has a long-standing wine civilization. The uniqueness of this book is that it completely embeds Chinese wine culture into the development context of global wine civilization. Wine is a daily drink in Spain, but in China it carries a unique imprint of Eastern customs and culture. This difference is a good starting point for exchanges and dialogues between Chinese and Western civilizations.
Zhang Qiong, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and director of the Information Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government, said that whether in the East or the West, wine is an important medium to convey friendship and carry stories. A glass of white wine and a glass of red wine have different raw materials and different flavors, but the hearts hidden in the wine are connected. She said that Chongqing is willing to work with friends from all walks of life in Spain to deepen the field of publishing, so that good books can transcend languages; continue to expand reading exchanges, so that ideas can inspire each other; and enrich people-to-people and cultural exchanges, so that friendship will last forever.
"We hope to promote direct translation between Chinese, Spanish and Portuguese, focusing on the fields of book publishing and ideological dissemination." Marta Montolo, executive chairman of the Spanish Zhihua Lecture Hall Foundation, said that translation is by no means a simple conversion of language vocabulary, but a way of conveying ideas, experiences and understanding the world.

What attracts Chinese tourists is not only the beautiful natural scenery and rich historical monuments, but also Spain’s fine wine and food. Food and wine are the most down-to-earth and most emotionally resonant communication language, and are also an important link between Chinese and Western cultural and tourism cooperation. “Food and wine are never isolated products, but the most vivid witnesses of human migration, economic and trade exchanges, and mutual learning among civilizations.”
