The European Commission considers it too early to predict visa-free travel with Armenia by 2029

The official representative of the European Commission (EC), Paula Pinho, refused to confirm that a visa-free regime will be introduced between the European Union and Armenia by 2029.

In July, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that he expects visa liberalization with the EU by 2029.

“Is it too early to predict whether 2029 or another date will be the moment of visa liberalization. I would say that it is, it is too early for such precision,” EC spokesperson Paula Pinho said at a briefing in Brussels.
