The number of inbound foreign tourists at Xiamen Port increased by over 23%, providing convenient customs clearance services for the CIFIT

China News Service, Xiamen, September 5 (Wu Guanbiao) The 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (referred to as the "CIFIT") will be held in Xiamen, Fujian Province from September 8th to 11th. Xiamen Border Inspection Headquarters Gaoqi Border Inspection Station reported on the 5th that since September, the average daily number of inbound foreign passengers at Xiamen Port has increased by more than 23% compared with the same period last year.

At Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, all dedicated inspection channels for the CIFIT were opened, and members of the “Tongxin Foreign Language Volunteer Service Team” guided overseas merchants to quickly clear customs in fluent foreign languages.

In response to the surge in demand for foreign-related consultation due to the CIFIT, Gaoqi Border Inspection Station has strengthened the construction of the "Tongxin·Foreign Language Volunteer Service Team", equipped with professional forces covering 12 languages including English, French, German, Russian, and Spanish, to provide customs clearance guidance at the port for participating delegations, merchants, and inbound and outbound passengers from various countries.

Xiamen Port also provides 240-hour one-stop processing of temporary entry permits. The portable fast lane collection and filing device can provide fast lane collection and filing services for qualified passengers; it continues to promote convenient measures such as online filling in of foreign entry cards to promote the realization of "landing and leaving".

It is reported that this year's CIFIT will have "dual guest countries" for the first time, with Finland and Saudi Arabia as the two guest countries. More than 40 key investment promotion activities will be held offline. As the date of the CIFIT approaches, the passenger flow at Xiamen Port is continuing to rise. (over)
