Woman lost contact after quarreling with her boyfriend, was killed and dumped in Yangmingshan, prosecutors examined the cause of death

Prosecutors from the Shilin District Prosecutor's Office will conduct a physical examination with the forensic doctor today to clarify the cause of death. The deceased's mother and sister came to the scene to assist, but they did not say a word.

A woman surnamed Zheng lost contact with her family immediately after a fight with her boyfriend on August 16. Zheng’s sister reported the case to the police and used the National Missing Website to seek help. However, Zheng’s body was found dead and abandoned in Yangmingshan. Today (12th), prosecutors from the Shilin District Prosecutor's Office and forensic doctors conducted a physical examination to clarify the cause of death. The deceased's mother and sister came to the scene to assist, but they did not say a word.

Police investigation revealed that Ms. Zheng and her boyfriend had a quarrel in places such as Yangmingshan Manger Bridge and Shilin Jingshan Road, and her whereabouts have been unknown since then. Zheng's sister was unable to contact her at about 6 pm on August 16. Zheng's sister had tracked the mobile phone signal and found that the signal last appeared in the Tudukeng District of Sanzhi, New Taipei City. Zheng Mei sought help through online platforms and other channels, and called the police.

The Shilin Police Station in charge took Zheng's boyfriend back for investigation and found out that Zheng was strangled to death after a dispute with her boyfriend and her body was dumped in Yangmingshan District. The motive for the murder is suspected to be a financial dispute, and the prosecutors are currently investigating the case on suspicion of homicide.
