Residents of Nizhneudinsk complained about the cold in their apartments due to a coal shortage

Residents of Nizhneudinsk, Irkutsk region, complained about the cold in their apartments, which began their heating season. Telegram channel Babr Mash drew attention to the situation in the Russian city.

The reason for the low temperatures is a coal shortage, which became known at a meeting of the local Legislative Assembly. Mayor Anatoly Krupenev said the supplies would last about 10 days.

“We haven’t really noticed any heat yet this year. (...) I don’t understand how they (the authorities) prepared for this heating season if they don’t have coal. People pay money, why didn’t they prepare in advance?” - one of the local residents complained.

The head of Nizhneudinsk assured that the issue was being resolved and a solution had already been found. Meanwhile, similar difficulties arise every year at the beginning of the heating season in the city. On September 28, snow and plus three degrees during the day are forecast in Nizhneudinsk.
