The Gyeongbuk Police Agency deployed about 10 investigators starting at 9:20 a.m. on the 22nd and conducted a search and seizure of four 5th to 6th grade public officials working in Andong City's Local Era Policy Office, Future Strategy Planning Group, Health and Hygiene Department, and Secretariat.

It was discovered that the police had secured related materials, including their work computers, notepads, and cell phones.

They are known to be suspected of recruiting multiple party members to help Mayor Kwon get elected ahead of the last local election.

It was confirmed that this investigation was not based on a complaint from the Election Commission, but was initiated by the police themselves after identifying the relevant circumstances.

After analyzing the confiscated items secured that day, the police plan to call the four suspects one by one to investigate the process of recruiting party members, their scale, and whether they were instructed or involved.

A police official said, "We are currently securing relevant data through search and seizure, and it is difficult to confirm the specific details of the charges as it is a matter under investigation. We plan to call the suspects and confirm the facts as soon as we complete the analysis of the seized items."
