China News Service, Harbin, September 29 (Shi Yifu Li Yanyan) On the 29th, reporters learned from the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the China Democratic League that from 2024 to the present, the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the China Democratic League and the Xuehaixingzhou Charity Fund Management Committee have implemented the "League to Move Heilongjiang·Rural Revitalization" education assistance project For this project, a total of more than 40 million yuan has been invested in teaching equipment and public welfare resources, covering 13 cities (prefectures) and 72 counties (cities, districts) in the province. The resources are focused on schools with weak borders such as Daxinganling, Heihe, and Jiamusi.

In order to deepen the specific practice of the "Candlelight Action" educational assistance brand activity, this project focuses on the shortcomings of basic education in border areas and rural areas, coordinates the promotion of material aid for schools, aesthetic education to nourish the heart, teacher improvement, and psychological care, and protects the healthy growth of borderland teenagers with warm public welfare.
Heilongjiang has a long border and many rural schools are located in remote areas. The lack of aesthetic education resources and weak mental health services have become prominent problems in grassroots education. In order to identify the target of assistance, the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Democratic League organized member experts in the fields of education and psychology to conduct field visits to primary and secondary schools in the border areas, conduct a questionnaire survey on the mental health of teachers and students, sort out the actual shortcomings of grassroots education, and form a research and analysis report to provide reference for local improvements in campus education.
In December 2024, the "Alliance to Heilongjiang·Rural Revitalization" educational assistance was officially launched in Heihe. Abandon simple donations like "flood irrigation", insist on research first, implement policies according to needs, and precise drip irrigation, and focus on the four major directions of material assistance, aesthetic education classrooms, teacher training, and psychological care to promote social services to accurately connect schools with urgent needs and worries.
Since the launch of the project, a number of standardized aesthetic education classrooms have been built and put into use in border rural schools. Art equipment such as electronic keyboards and guzhengs have been fully equipped, and a smart aesthetic education teaching system has been launched simultaneously. Daxinganling Experimental Middle School is located in a remote location, and students have almost no opportunities to touch musical instruments. After the aesthetic education classroom was completed and new musical instruments were put in place, the Democratic League organized music experts from the league to go to the local area to carry out teaching and research training, and guided rural teachers step by step in building campus clubs. The school established its first instrumental music choir club.

Educational assistance goes beyond supplementing hardware, and also focuses on protecting the spiritual world of young people. In view of the practical dilemma of shortage of psychological teachers in grassroots schools and insufficient teachers' psychological intervention capabilities, the China Democratic League has included mental health care as a focus of assistance. Relying on the professional strength within the alliance, we will carry out special training on psychological identification and emotional counseling for grassroots teachers, promote the construction of mental health classrooms, and comprehensively protect the physical and mental health of borderland students.
In the next step, the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Democratic League will continue to deepen public welfare cooperation, consolidate the effectiveness of assistance, and transform the practical problems in the fields of aesthetic education and mental health education discovered during the project survey into proposals and suggestions, so as to organically combine practical work with long-term planning.
