In 2015, 6 schools were certified as bilingual education schools, and Wusha Junior High School was selected as the "Bilingual International Education Characteristic School" for integrating English into the fields of biology and technology, and using generative AI for transnational communication.

Another five schools were selected as "Bilingual Education Potential Schools". Wujie Elementary School combines bilingualism with physical fitness and counseling to implement emotional awareness; Guangfu Elementary School and Guting Elementary School both promote immersive teaching in health courses, combining international sports events or creating English village shopping experiences respectively; Yucai Elementary School and Luodong Elementary School take root in lower grade life courses, with situational classrooms, festival activities and collaborative teaching with foreign teachers.
The Education Department of the County Government emphasized that bilingual education requires long-term investment and resource integration. Through the planning and research of the English Education Resource Center, it continues to introduce foreign English teaching staff and assistants, cultivate domestic bilingual teachers, provide tutoring visits by experts and scholars, and build bilingual situational classrooms. As of 2015, Yixian County has 34 schools certified as bilingual education schools, built 57 bilingual situational classrooms, and hired 48 foreign teachers of various types to accompany Yilan Yilan to the world stage.
Acting County Magistrate Lin Maosheng said that language is a bridge to the world, and promoting bilingual education is the top priority for cultivating future talents. The county government has long promoted the "Love, English" bilingual education promotion plan and is committed to creating an immersive bilingual learning environment where "dare to speak, want to speak, and are willing to speak", hoping to enhance children's bilingual literacy and ability to connect with international standards.
