Gyeongnam Provincial Special Envoy caught 5 violations of the Youth Protection Act

(Changwon = Yonhap News) Reporter Jeong-Hoon Lee = The Gyeongnam Provincial Special Judicial Police (hereinafter referred to as the Special Police) announced on the 11th that they have detected 5 violations of the Juvenile Protection Act, transferred 1 to the prosecution, and are investigating 4 more.

The special envoy conducted a planned investigation into harmful environments for youth in 18 cities and counties for eight weeks from June 15 to August 17, including the summer vacation period.

During this period, the special envoy discovered a cartoon cafe that met the standards for a business where entry and employment of minors is prohibited, including installing screens, mattresses, beam projectors, and cushions in individual spaces, and allowed teenagers, including male and female high school students, to enter.

Additionally, four people were caught who purchased cigarettes and gave them to teenagers.

The special envoy explained that there were circumstances in which they used non-face-to-face methods, such as receiving money by bank transfer and then delivering the purchased cigarettes to a convenience store, or even demanding sexual acts instead of cash as a fee for purchasing cigarettes on a proxy basis.
