「南王姊妹花」是來自卑南族的南王部落 ,她們用和聲跨越世代,傳唱文化記憶。「黃子軒與山平快」則唱出客家社群的韌性,大膽且充滿玩心的音樂風格,將傳統帶進新世界。

參與開幕音樂會的多位加拿大政府官員都讚揚台灣自由、平等、創新等風貌,和加拿大有許多共通點。
卑詩省副省長兼律政廳長利莎瑪(Niki Sharma)表示:「看到台灣進步民主、尊重人權,盡力讓世界變得更公平美好的努力,讓我非常敬佩。」卑詩社區安全及綜合服務省務廳長楊子亮(Terry Yung)讚揚台灣音樂人帶來的震撼和共鳴,「他們唱出對土地的深深情感,讓我們感受到跨越時間與地域的共鳴。」溫哥華市議員楊瑞蘭(Sarah Kirby-Yung)則說:「台灣文化就是加拿大文化的一環。」

她也呼籲喜愛台灣的人們共同響應台灣節的口號「讓台灣就是台灣」(Let Taiwan Be Taiwan),告訴所有加拿大和世界友人,台灣人民不希望自己的國家名稱因巨大的政治壓力而被降級,成為任何其他國家的一部分。
