Five other netizens forwarded the comments, and Bi angrily sued 6 people for blatant insults and aggravated slander. An investigation by the Taipei District Prosecutor's Office determined that Wu personally witnessed the relationship between the two, and the other five netizens made comments based on the post. Bi Shujin filed a lawsuit stating that Wu Siying had been dating him for eight years. After they broke up, Wu Siying posted on Instagram and Threads from April to November last year, claiming that he had cheated on many times during the relationship, had drunken gaffes, and would unplug the pet monitor at home before dating. After the post was exposed, five other netizens forwarded and left messages one after another. Some people compiled a "lazy bag", saying that Bi Shujin had drunkenly lost his temper many times with his girlfriend during the eight-year relationship, and had other relationships, and that his current wife was a "mistress." Others accused him of abandoning his dog, unplugging the pet monitor before dating, and even criticized him with words such as "human AIDS" and "brain powder."

The prosecutor pointed out that Bi Shujin has considerable popularity and social influence, and his words and deeds are subject to public comment; Wu Siying once dated Bi and personally experienced the relationship between the two. The remaining five people quoted, commented or compiled based on Wu's posts, which were not baseless or fabricated. Even if part of the content cannot be proven to be completely true later, as long as the speaker has reasonable grounds to believe it to be true and does not know it is untrue or out of gross recklessness and malice, it is still protected by freedom of speech.
