The four-day holiday of Mid-Autumn Festival and Teacher's Day comes to an end today (28th). The Lianjiang County Government has classified common illegal items into five categories: "plants, animals, pig-related, tobacco, and alcohol" and calls on villagers to strictly inspect and proactively declare before passing through customs. Plants including fruits and vegetables, fresh fruits, seeds or plants with the ability to germinate, and live plants with roots are not allowed to be carried. In addition, it includes red beans, mung beans, quinoa, oats, areca nut, ginger slices, chia seeds, cumin, etc. Edible rice, peanuts (restricted for cooked products), garlic (restricted for cooked products), dried daylilies, dried mushrooms, tea leaves, etc. should not exceed 1 kilogram each, and must be taken out and declared before X-ray examination.

The county government pointed out that in order to strictly prevent African swine fever and foot-and-mouth disease, all fresh pork (including vacuum packaging), pork products and moon cakes containing pork fillings are strictly prohibited, including ham bacon, sausages, ham sausages, dried meat floss and lard, etc. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, Cantonese-style mooncakes, Wuren mooncakes, fermented bean curd cakes, almond cakes, crispy gift cakes, cod sausages, and Lianjiang angle cakes, which are easily carried by the public, are likely to contain pork or fat ingredients in their fillings.

Regarding cigarettes: Passengers over 20 years old can bring 1 carton of duty-free cigarettes (200 sticks), 1 pound of cut tobacco or 25 cigars; e-cigarettes and unlicensed heated cigarettes and heaters are prohibited from entering the country. Those aged 18 and above can bring 1.5 liters of duty-free wine (the limit for wine in mainland China where imports are not open is 1 liter).
