A State Duma deputy announced an increase in pensions for certain categories of Russians by the end of the year

Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes Kaplan Panesh, in a conversation with RT, said that a number of categories of Russian pensioners can count on an increase in payments until the end of this year. Some of the recalculations have already been completed, and the next stages of indexation are planned for the fall.

On October 1, the traditional annual indexation of pensions for military personnel, as well as persons of equal status, will begin. This list includes employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Russian National Guard, the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) and the fire service. The parliamentarian emphasized that in order to receive increased payments, citizens will not need to submit any applications - the recalculation will be carried out by the relevant departments automatically.

Significant changes will affect those who turned 80 in September. From the beginning of October, the size of the fixed payment to their insurance pension will be doubled: from 9,584.69 rubles to 19,169.38 rubles. In addition, this category of citizens is entitled to additional care compensation in the amount of 1,413.86 rubles. Similar rules apply to those who were officially assigned disability group I in September. At the same time, the deputy clarified that if both grounds coincide, the payment is doubled only once.

Separately, Kaplan Panesh drew attention to additional payments for pensioners who have dependent disabled family members. The amount of the supplement directly depends on the number of such relatives: for one dependent it is 3,194.90 rubles, for two - 6,389.80 rubles, and for three or more - 9,584.69 rubles.
