(Seoul = Yonhap News) A large forest fire broke out on Brac Island in the Adriatic Sea in Croatia, forcing hundreds of residents and tourists to evacuate.

The forest fire that started on the western side of the island on the 10th (local time) continued to spread due to strong winds, and by the night of the 12th, it had spread right in front of a residential area in Milna, a village on the western side of the island.

Authorities issued a forest fire warning in the area and evacuated about 700 residents and tourists to safe areas.
