A 71-year-old grandma surnamed Chen from Pingtung saw an advertisement selling cheap fresh fruit on the Internet. After contacting the seller, she followed the instructions and clicked on the "Selling Products" link provided by the seller to purchase. However, she found that the web page kept displaying operation errors and asked to contact customer service. After contacting the customer service, the grandma was asked to go to an ATM and follow the instructions. Fortunately, my grandma couldn't remember her password at the moment, so she went to the bank to ask, but the banker noticed something was wrong and notified the police so that she wasn't defrauded.

The Nationalities Police Station of the Pingtung Police Department received a report that a grandma was defrauded at the Pingtung Branch of Co-operative Treasury Bank. The police went to the scene to learn about the situation and determined that the situation that the grandma encountered was most likely a fraud group using fake web pages and fake customer service to deceive and operate ATMs. In addition to explaining the relevant fraud techniques to the grandma on the spot, they also assisted her in blocking and deleting suspicious sellers to avoid subsequent deception, and successfully prevented the grandma from being defrauded further.
