China cited the fact that the two countries agreed to establish 'a constructive strategic and stable relationship between China and the United States based on respect, fairness, and equality' as the first achievement. The expression 'based on respect, fairness, and equality' was added to the preface of 'constructive strategic and stable relations' proposed by China at the Beijing summit in May this year.
He then emphasized that the two countries decided to support each other to successfully host the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Shenzhen, China in November and the G20 Summit in Miami, USA in December, adding, "The leaders of both countries expressed their intention to attend summits hosted by each other."
The two leaders also "agreed that Iran should fulfill its promise not to develop nuclear weapons, and that no country or organization should impose tolls on international waterways," China explained. This stance, which checked Iran's attempt to impose tolls on the Strait of Hormuz, can be interpreted as President Xi's support of President Trump's stance toward Iran.

On trade issues, the two leaders said, "They affirmed the positive role of the economic and trade negotiation mechanisms of the two countries and the negotiation results of the economic and trade teams of the two countries," and again presented as achievements the items already agreed upon in May, such as the establishment of mechanisms such as the Trade Commission, mutually equal tariff reductions for goods worth 30 billion dollars (approximately 40.8 trillion won), and extension of the truce of the 'tariff war'.
