Khalil said that selecting the next UN Secretary-General is one of the most important responsibilities of the current UN General Assembly, and rebuilding trust is the main focus of his work as president of the current UN General Assembly. The United Nations will continue to provide a platform for all parties to express their opinions, resolve differences through negotiation, and reach consensus. "Dialogue can be difficult and frustrating," but it is better than shutting down dialogue and resorting to force. To rebuild trust, reform of the United Nations is imperative.
