Executive President Zhuo Rongtai opposes the KMT’s general cash distribution of NT$20,000: Debt cannot be left to the next generation

The new session of the Legislative Yuan will be held today (29th). In response to Fu Kunqi, the leader of the Kuomintang League in the Legislative Yuan, he advocated that "repaying taxes to the people" be listed as a priority bill and promote the universal cash payment of 20,000 yuan per person. Executive President Zhuo Wengtai said in an interview that our own efforts can be distributed, "but the debts of our generation must not be left to the next generation."

The Executive Yuan has allocated 235.7 billion yuan in the central government's total budget for 2016, and plans to provide universal cash distribution of 10,000 yuan next year. The relevant budget is still subject to review by the Legislative Yuan. Fu Kunqi, the chief convener of the Kuomintang League, said on the 24th that the priority bill of the party group is "returning taxes to the people" and advocates a universal distribution of 20,000 yuan per person.
