Trump accepted a joint interview with the media in the Oval Office of the White House this afternoon and was asked about the goals that the Trump-Xi meeting hopes to achieve. He responded that the United States and China have a very good trade relationship. "They are competitors and so on, but our relationship with President Xi is very good."

Trump also said that Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan will visit Washington together on the 24th. "We will hold a state dinner then, and we will achieve great results with China."
