Busan City designates 9 regional emergency medical centers… 6 re-designated, 3 new designated

Busan City announced on the 16th that it has designated nine regional emergency medical centers that will operate for three years from November 1.

Six hospitals, including Kosin University Gospel Hospital, Daedong Hospital, Pusan ​​National University Hospital, BHS Hanseo Hospital, On Hospital, and Good Samsun Hospital, were re-designated, and three, including Busan Bumin Hospital, Centum General Hospital, and Good Gangan Hospital, were newly designated.

The city selected a local emergency medical center by comprehensively evaluating the treatment performance of severe emergency patients, operating system for each disease group, and future operation plan.

In particular, this evaluation was not limited to meeting designated standards such as facilities, equipment, and manpower, but also comprehensively evaluated actual treatment performance for severe emergency patients, treatment functions for each disease, and the role and level of cooperation in the local emergency medical system.

The city decided to introduce a local emergency medical center evaluation system to manage the local emergency medical center's ability to treat severe emergency patients and increase the continuity of emergency patient care through cooperation and connection between institutions.

After one year of designation, newly designated institutions will reevaluate whether they have implemented their operational plans and the final treatment performance of severe emergency patients, and if they do not meet the treatment capabilities and operational levels, their designation will be cancelled.
