The police reviewed the video and confirmed that the distance between the five vehicles and pedestrians crossing the zebra crossing was less than 3 meters, all of which violated road traffic regulations, and all will be fined in accordance with the law.

According to statistics from the traffic team of the County Police Department, from January to August this year, there were 535 pedestrian traffic accidents, a decrease of 12.9% from 614 in the same period last year; the number of vehicle violations was 1,451, an increase of 12.7% from the same period last year. If a vehicle fails to yield to pedestrians while passing by an intersection, according to Article 44, Item 2 of the Road Traffic Management Punishment Regulations, a car driver who drives a car near a pedestrian crossing or other intersection that legally allows pedestrians to cross, and fails to let pedestrians pass first when a pedestrian is crossing, shall be fined not less than 1,200 yuan but not more than 6,000 yuan.

The police call on drivers, regardless of whether they are large or small, to abide by the relevant regulations on the right of way at intersections. They should slow down before approaching an intersection.
