The four-day Mid-Autumn Festival and Teacher's Day holidays will be closed today. The Taiwan High-Speed Rail Company predicts that the peak period of holiday collection and distribution will be from 2 pm to 7 pm today, because all the reserved seats for the northbound train are almost fully booked after noon. In order to meet the demand of people traveling northbound in the central region , today from 1pm to 8pm, there will be one train departing from Taichung Station to Nangang every hour on the hour. The trains stopping at each station are equipped with 9 free seats (cars 1-4, 8-12). Passengers who want to take free seats are advised to take advantage of them.

The Taiwan High Speed ​​Rail Corporation stated that in response to the large crowds during the Mid-Autumn Festival and Teacher's Day holidays (9/24 to 9/29), all 34 trains are currently dispatched, using maximum capacity to serve passengers to return home smoothly and celebrate the Autumn Festival. A total of 176 additional trains were opened in 6 days (70 southbound and 106 northbound), providing a total of 1,150 travel services in 6 days.
