The Chinese restaurant "Xi Jinping (시진핑)" in Bundang District, Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, uses the Korean name of Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Unexpectedly, four Chinese men broke in and spray-painted the restaurant in the early morning of the 24th. The store will reopen today (29th) after cleaning up and will change its name.

According to "Yonhap News Agency", the boss said that if he continues to use the name "Xi Jinping (시진핑)", it may be damaged or cause controversy in the future, so the restaurant will be changed to a common name, and the new sign is expected to be replaced next week.

The boss revealed that the damaged chairs and equipment in the store were replaced with new ones. After the rental cash register was smashed, he paid for it and rented another one for use. The ingredients worth 1 million won (approximately NT$23,500) that were suspected of being sprayed with insecticides or pesticides have been destroyed.

It is understood that four Chinese men, aged between 20 and 40 years old, broke into the store at about 2:40 a.m. on the 24th, spray-painted everywhere in the restaurant, and fled to China that day. The South Korean police have initiated international judicial cooperation procedures and will investigate whether these four people were responsible for the spray-painting of the same store in July.
