AfD politicians celebrate election success in Saxony-Anhalt

After their election victory in Saxony-Anhalt, several AfD politicians in Magdeburg celebrated their success. “What a result,” said the parliamentary managing director of the state parliamentary group, Tobias Rausch. This success is thanks to AfD top candidate Ulrich Siegmund. “We hope that Sven Schulze will resign,” said Tobias Rausch, referring to the CDU Prime Minister.

The first cheers occurred in the Old Theater when the CDU result was shown in the forecast. Afterwards, the AfD bar got loud again.

Domestic politician Matthias Büttner said a historic election campaign was coming to an end. The AfD member of the Bundestag Sebastian Münzenmaier said that the AfD is the future, the CDU is history. The Thuringian AfD state leader Björn Höcke sings the song “Such a day, as beautiful as today”. He is certain that “we will still have an absolute majority today.”
